With its first module called „CARTOGRAPHY bodymemento“ the International
ChoreoLab Austria (ICLA) will take up work at the Danube University Krems on
Sept 5th 2009. Among others, Gus Solomons (Tisch School of Arts, NY),
Johannes Birringer (Brunel University, London) and Gill Clarke (London) were
won over as lecturers.
The week-long, interdisciplinary study-module deals with the relation between

Raw Dance Company is touring with the Q150 Shed.  Presented by Bank of Queensland, the atmospheric Q150 Shed is a travelling venue based on the iconic corrugated iron shearing shed on Isis Downs Station.

Raw Dance Company has just finished touring to Mount Isa, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton and Maryborough; and will commence the second half of the touring schedule from 31st October to 12 December 2009 visiting Caboolture, Blackall, Augathella, Cherbourg, Warwick, Gold Coast & Brisbane.

2009 marks the 20^th anniversary of Brazilian dance being taught in Australia and it started right here in Brisbane. Today Brisbane boasts the largest number of Brazilian dance instructors in the Asia Pacific region.

In 1989, it took just six students and a teacher to begin Brisbane’s transformation into a city with the biggest Brazilian dance scene outside Brazil itself.

For the October school holidays NIDA will be offering some exciting courses from NARNIA DREAMING, NIDA at the Stables, film making, TV Presenting, screen acting to Circus and Magic.  All of these fun courses will provide a huge variety for children aged 6 to 18 years who are interested in the performing arts.
