Three short ballets from the Big Apple
Start spreading the news. New York City comes to town a month from now.
Artistic Director, Ethan Stiefel, brings you a new work by NYC’s hot, young choreographer, Larry Keigwin, coupled with a chance to see the work of Black Swan movie choreographer, Benjamin Millepied, live.
American Ballet star, Gillian Murphy, makes her NZ debut in the programme, dancing in Millepied’s romantic ballet, 28 Variations on a Theme by Paganini, and the Balanchine classic, Who Cares? set to Gershwin’s show tunes.
“The New York dance scene is regarded as one of the world’s leaders. I’m excited to be sharing a slice of the Big Apple with New Zealand audiences,” says Stiefel.
