The 2007 Hollywood Tour will include either 10 days or 17 days in Hollywood. Dancers will be attending classes at the professional studios with some of the most incredible teachers on the planet, meeting with an immigration specialist, participating in auditions, attending tapings of television shows and meeting with the largest Dance Agency in Hollywood.
The highlight of the tour will be performing the choreography of Andre Fuentes at the Choreographer’s Carnival Ball which will be held on Wednesday evening, July 25, 2007 at the Key Club. The Choreographer’s Carnival is the cutting-edge Hollywood showcase of what’s taking pop dance to the next level. Dancers celebrate the chance to be on stage and know that casting agents, or maybe a pop star is looking for someone for their next world tour. Past appearances at the Choreographer’s Carnival include Missy Elliott, Christina Aguilera, Justin, Jamie Foxx, Janet Jackson, Sisqo, and Britney Spears to name a few. Andre Fuentes will be choreographing a fabulous production number for the 2007 Hollywood Tour Participants. Costumes will be designed by one of the Black Eyed Peas designers.
In addition, dancers will have the very rare opportunity to chat with Tony Selznick about opportunities that are available for dancers and choreographers and what it takes to make it in the world of dance. Participants can select a 10 day (July 20 – 29) or a 17 day (July 20 - August 5) Tour. Prices start at only $1700US for those who register and pay their deposit on or before January 20, 2007. The price DOES NOT INCLUDE AIRFARE. All dancers aged 17 or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone.
Sr Solo Winners at the first annual SourceDance Competitions held in Brisbane, Sydney and Wellington in October 2006, each won the full 10 day 2007 Hollywood Tour Package. Sr Solo winners include Bobby Rive from Ernest QLD, Kelly Bowers from Perth and Victoria Wiltshire from Auckland.
