The Barbara Jayne Dance Centre was established in 1975 under the direction of Ms Barbara Komazec. The Dance Centre has many success stories to its claim and students are trained to a Professional level with some students going directly into Professional careers. Students are trained in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap dancing and Musical theatre. Barbara Jayne Dance Centre has been the Champion school for the last decade and a half at the SASDS Competitions winning sections in all facets of Dance. Past students have been performing in Sound of music, Phantom of the opera, Mama Mia, Chorus Line, Cats, The Addams Family, We will rock you Wicked, Mary Poppins, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Legally Blonde, Chicago, Moon Shadow and many more. Students have been accepted into the Australian Ballet School, Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, AC Arts, Ministry of Dance, Brent Street and many more.

Lilyana Scott 14 years has been studying at the Barbara Jayne Dance Centre since the age of three, She has been accepted into the Australian Ballet School, level 5 full time program. There are also 5 students who have gained a place in the Australian Ballet School Interstate Training Program. Cristiano Martino a former student at BJDC is now a member of the Australian Ballet Company. Stage One SACE dance is being offered this year. This is by audition only.

Welcome to Bayside Dance!

Established in 2014, Bayside Dance offers a range of dance classes and creative experiences in the Wynnum/Manly area, Brisbane.

Whether you’re a tiny tot, child, teen or adult, our philosophy is to encourage enjoyment of dance through creativity, strong technical training and a nurturing environment.

Our children’s jazz, tap and ballet classes are based on the Southern Federation of Dance Syllabus, with optional exams available. All students have the opportunity to perform in our end-of-year concert celebrating a year of hard work and achievement.

The Beau-Rock Ballet School offers a wide range of classes for all those who enjoy dancing. Our school caters for the once a week student, the dedicated hobbyist and those who are aiming for a professional career in dance and/or teaching.

All our teachers are highly trained, several having started as students at The Beau-Rock Ballet School, others coming from wide fields of experience in the dance community.

The Beau-Rock Ballet School fosters a happy, non competitive environment for all our students.

The Beau-Rock Ballet School was established in 1954 and caters to a wide range of students and dance disciplines.

All students who reach the required standard in examination classes are encouraged to sit for the Southern Federation of Dance examinations in September. They give students an aim and sense of achievement whilst providing parents with an external assessment of their child’s progress. Students who gain a Commended or higher mark for Level 8 Jazz, Tap or Pre-Elementary Classical may undertake the Southern Federation of Dance teaching course and examinations.The Southern Federation of Dance holds annual Scholarship awards in all three styles for the more committed student.
