Miss Pam has over 25 years of teaching experience and has owned & operated successful schools both in Newcastle & the Central Coast over this time period. She is an experienced adjudicator & Choreographer & runs her own eisteddfod called the Ritz & Glitz Dance Challenge in April each year at Beresfeild, NSW, which encourages our regions most talented young Dancers to compete and experience competition at its best.

The Edge Dance Centre has become one of the top dance education facilities in the state and continues to set a high standard for excellence.

We are committed to providing high quality dance education in a safe and nurturing environment to young performers of all ages, backgrounds and experience.

Our faculty is of the highest calibre, and the Centre’s challenging and comprehensive curriculum is designed to inspire future performers. All staff are tertiary qualified industry professionals dedicated to enriching the lives of students through dance, theatre and music.

We pride ourselves in our sense of community, performing at school fetes and festivals such as the Granny Smith Festival.

At Elite Dance Academy we provide classes in many genres of dance including Classical Ballet (Cecchetti), Jazz (Glenn Wood), Modern Lyrical, Tap and Hip Hop.

Our teachers are trained to provide professional lessons in a fun and supportive environment. The teachers constantly attend workshops and classes to bring new styles and techniques to the Elite Dance Academy.

The students learn to dance whilst improving their confidence, flexibility, co-ordination, posture and fitness. The students make new friends whilst dancing and performing.

In the past our students have peformed at Dreamworld, Gold Coast Show and other local events. In 2012 a group of our dancers travelled to Los Angeles where they performed at Disneyland, Hollywood Boulevarde, Universal Studios and in the Disney Main Street Parade. Our dancers also had the opportunity to attend workshops at Disneyland and the world renowned dance studio, ‘The Edge’.

Our students are lucky enough to have guest teachers throughout the year, in the past these have included Gaz from ‘Instant Bunz’ and Matt Pappa from ‘Tap Dogs’.

The students enjoy performing and competing at local eisteddfods, we also have had two students in the final round of ‘Showcase’ at Jupiter’s Casino.

Our Ballet students study under Helen Day. Miss Helen is a Cecchetti qualified teacher and a former ballerina. This year one of our students trained by Miss Helen received the honour of being selected to join the Joffrey Ballet School in New York.
