Dear Directors, Dancers, Parents and Friends,
Welcome to KIDS ARTISTIC REVUE – National Dance Competition!
As we enter our first exciting season in Australia, let us start by saying how truly grateful we are for all the incredible support. KAR realises what an honor it is to be holding our events across Australia, and as we already are “America’s Favourite Dance Competition”, we hope to one day become “Australia’s Favourite Dance Competition.” It is our ongoing commitment to continue to set the bar high by producing the best competition possible.
We are so excited to unveil our plans for 2015 – We’ve been working diligently to create new ideas that are sure to exceed your expectations and make your experience at KAR one you’ll keep coming back for year after year!
As you may already know, KAR is dedicated to recognising and encouraging dancers all across the country. Our stages will be shared by thousands of dancers with a wide range of ages, talents and abilities, who will all have their moment to shine in a positive, rewarding, and exhilarating setting. We will also acknowledge the achievements and excellence of teachers, choreographers, and parents, whose hard work and commitment deserves equal attention. At KAR, we recognise the sacrifice and endless hours invested to be part of our competition. That being said, we are honoured to be an outlet where dedication, talent and accomplishments are celebrated!
KIDS ARTISTIC REVUE takes pride in creating opportunities for dancers. Each year, several KAR contestants are selected as “All-Star Dancers,” and receive an invitation to attend the New York City Dance Experience and Hollywood Dance Invitational. These All-Stars are eligible to travel to New York City or Hollywood for a one-of-a-kind event, where they attend a series of master classes, meet and study with the world-famous Rockettes, see Broadway shows, participate in a Disney Audition Workshop, a Hollywood Film and Television Experience and of course, tour the city’s most popular attractions.
At each of our events, KAR will award scholarships for contestants to participate in the popular KAR Dance Conventions. These dance workshops are fun, inspiring, and educational for all dancers. We are also excited to nominate outstanding performances to be a part of the 2016 Industry Dance Awards and Benefit Show. This amazing awards show proudly raises cancer awareness and inspires the generosity of the dance community to come together for a worthy cause.
This year KAR will host six spectacular events! You will be able to find us in Sydney, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Adelaide. As always, our KAR events will be unforgettable so mark your calendars and don’t miss out on being a part of this extraordinary experience.
