Studio owner and Director Diana Sakaris has enjoyed teaching dance for over 25 years and was previously Head of Department of Babies and Tiny Tots at Brent Street Studios. In 2008 she became the new Director and business owner of Tempo Red, and has since become a leading performing arts dance studio on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
At Tempo Red Academy, we always strive to provide the most dedicated and experienced teachers who share a similar mentality to the Director, nurturing each student’s unique talent and creativity. We encourage our students to achieve their fullest potential and support them as they grow artistically and holistically developing into well rounded individuals with a strong foundation in the Performing Arts.
We also provide opportunities for students interested in extending themselves through our Tempo Red Youth Company, which auditions are held for throughout the year. Our Youth Company students are a technical and dedicated group of dancers mentored by some of Sydney’s top choreographers currently working in the industry. The Youth Company now represent Tempo Red at many Eisteddfods and events throughout Sydney, such as the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Our school firmly believes that success isn’t measured by a trophy. We believe in working together to achieve our goals. We encourage our students to not compare themselves with one another but to challenge their own individual abilities and encourage an environment that is purely empowered by PASSION.
More Recently, Tempo Red Academy was the first to become a licensee of babyballet® on the Northern Beaches and it has been a huge success since beginning the program last year. The award-winning babyballet® program was founded in the United Kingdom and classes are now available for girls and boys aged 18 months to 6 years. Our babyballet® classes will give your child the chance to dance, gain confidence and shine, in a fun and supportive environment as our wonderful babyballet® teachers take them on a magical journey to capture their hearts and minds.
