The Studio of Performing Arts – Springfield was founded by Danielle Lennon to bring a level of unprecedented Arts Education to Greater Springfield and South East Queensland! In 2017 we celebrate our ELEVENTH Birthday! The company is three-fold with PERFORM! Vacation Care assisting our community to have a further connection with the Arts through an approved Vacation Care, as well as The Studio Event Company Qld which employs graduates and Senior students in professional gigs around Greater Brisbane.
At The Studio we are first and foremost professional teachers. Every dance, drama, music and acrobatic lesson is fully equipped and student centred to ensure we bring out the very best in your individual child. This means that your child trains in air-conditioning with full Acromat flooring, mirrors, barres, aerial apparatus, and HARLEQUIN dance floor which allows your student to train more effectively for a greater time during their classes. We have 4 Rehearsal Spaces + a Private Music Room that are soundproofed and allow students to focus on their lessons. Students have successfully auditioned for Ipswich Musical Theatre Society, Brisbane Arts Theatre, Transit Dance, New Zealand School of Dance as well as many university positions.
We are proud to have introduced MOVITAE into our curriculum for students from Grade 4 and above. For a modest yearly fee, parents and students have access to a safe online portal. This is an incredible opportunity for students to practice at home and for parents to see an insight into our teaching.
In 2012, the company migrated from nearby Greenbank with just over 100 students, now in 2017 there are over 280 students involved in more than 500 lessons per week. With professional school teachers and a wonderful mixture of professional practicing Artists including Gareth Belling and Chris Jordan. Whether you would like to participate in ATOD Ballet, Jazz, or Hip Hop Exams or perhaps your AMEB Music Exams, Eisteddfods, the Annual Showcase or just for fun, The Studio offers you the very best environment to allow your child to grow through the Arts.
