Instruments of Dance celebrates the creative vision of resident choreographers from three of the world’s top ballet companies; Justin Peck (New York City Ballet), Wayne McGregor (The Royal Ballet) and The Australian Ballet’s Resident Choreographer Alice Topp. Exploring the relationship between 21st century music and 21st century dancemakers, a relationship that engages humans on a physical, emotional and spiritual level, Instruments of Dance will show the artists of The Australian Ballet in every light, from intimate duets to powerful ensembles.
 
The momentum and pace of Justin Peck’s Everywhere We Go, contrast powerfully with the strength and intensity of Wayne McGregor’s all-male Obsidian Tear. Sitting alongside is Alice Topp’s most ambitious work to date, with almost half of the company’s dancers sharing the stage in Annealing.
