The Australian Ballet presents Romeo and Juliet at Sydney Opera House 1 – 21 December 2022
 
Sydney media are invited to come and photograph or film ACT 1 of The Australian Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet at the Sydney Opera House – which includes one of the repertoires most famous pas de deux – the balcony scene with Romo and Juliet.
 
The Australian Ballet brings the much-loved masterpiece, John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet, to the Sydney Opera House for the first time in 19 years this December.
 
The transcendent journey of the star-crossed lovers, and one of the most revered ballets of the 20th century, Romeo and Juliet, will be staged at Sydney Opera House from 1 – 21 December 2022.
 
John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet binds artist and audiences in a profound emotional experience that will linger long after the curtain falls. The famous tale of feuding enemies between the Capulets and the Montagues involves thrilling sword fights, intricate pas de deux, and a famous balcony scene that will sweep audiences up in the emotion of this love story.
