Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod

About

The Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod is a major cultural event featuring competitions and exhibitions of Dance, Debating, Highland Dance, Music and Speech and Drama. The Eisteddfod is held over a three week period in July-August each year. All disciplines are held at the Albury Entertainment Centre in the heart of Albury, overlooking QEII Square.

Each year, thousands of young competitors take to the stage to showcase their talents and receive expert critique from experienced adjudicators. Those who enter, gain performance experience and confidence, along with the opportunity to win prizes and scholarships.

Albury Wodonga is an easy 3½ hour drive on the Hume Highway from Melbourne or Canberra. As a regional city on the banks of the Murray River, Albury and Wodonga cities have a great deal to see, do and plenty to explore when you are not competing. The venue is close to shops and cafes, clubs and restaurants, accommodation, the art gallery and parks.

The Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod offers those in regional and rural areas, a local event to rival those held in the biggest city, without the expense of travelling. We also offer a friendly, familiar environment for performers of all levels to refine their performance skills and improve their confidence, compare their performance skills to others of a similar standard if they wish, and receive guidance from professionals in their field.

We look forward to seeing you here with us!
