On 25 July 2025, I had the privilege of attending Redlands Dance Academy’s Solo Soirée at the Redlands Hall. This event showcased the Academy’s soloists along with thoughtfully selected group routines, all part of this year’s glitzy competition season. The students impressed with their exceptional performances across multiple genres—classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and tap—highlighting both the breadth of their talent and the depth of their instructors’ expertise. Teamwork was unmistakable, with older dancers stepping in to support their younger peers—a warm display of camaraderie that was truly a joy to witness. The program does more than create beautiful dancers; it nurtures emerging leaders who perform with pride and compassion. Combining artistic expression and body awareness with a rigorous academic curriculum ensures students receive the best of both worlds.
